I was born in Houston Texas and moved to Lago Vista at a very young age. I have always had a passion for animals and an immense desire to work with them. Ever since I was little, I always knew that I wanted to work in the Veterinary field in some capacity. Volunteering at animal shelters and pet sitting confirmed that desire. After some research, I found the Veterinary Technology program at Austin Community College. While I was completing the program, I had the opportunity to do an internship with a veterinary hospital to further gain experience and knowledge. The day that I interviewed and left with an internship with Buttercup Veterinary Hospital, I knew that I really wanted to work there after my internship was completed. Everyone was so nice, welcoming and had an immense passion for their clients and patients.
I completed my internship and I was hired on with Buttercup in July 2018. I graduated the program in August 2018 and went on to pass my state boards and succeeded in becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in July 2019.
I love coming to work and seeing my Buttercup family; they keep my laughing and smiling. I love being a Veterinary Technician and having the privilege to help animals in many different ways whether it’s annual vaccines or a sick pet that needs a lot of care. It’s always a blessing to see a pet get better and knowing that I had helped in some way. It is also extremely rewarding to see puppies and kittens; watching them grow up and having the opportunity to build bonds with them.
I have an energetic and fun loving Corgi named Lyla and a sweet, chill Bengal mix cat named George. In my free time I love hanging out with friends and family, watching tv/movies (Friends, Baking Championships, Rocky and any Nicholas Sparks movie), going to restaurants/coffee shops/dessert shops and listening to country music.
